Description: This was an exciting project to work on. The figures where the first incarnation of what came to be known internally as peg people. My assignment was to create a cute, classic, low cost figure form, a template for new line of figures yet to come. I accomplished this work while adjusting to changing engineering designs for the plug in feature located in the feet. It was fun visualizing this flying dollhouse. I designed various versions of the exterior detailing for the rocket which included options for paneling, paint jobs, and materials from matte to metallic. I then proceeded to arrange the interior spaces, revising the sketched concepts to accomodate evolving art direction and engineering standards. A perennial best seller, this product is still being produced and sold today, 15 years after its initial release.
